We know that when you are preparing to pack up your entire home or office, one of the first things you begin to dread is the packing.  The planning can feel overwhelming, and choosing to rent reusable plastic boxes instead of buying or hunting down cardboard boxes is a smart move that often comes with a few unique questions. This page is dedicated to addressing those common curiosities, ensuring you feel completely confident in our process from the moment you place your order to the day we pick up the empty containers from your new location. We also got self pick up and self drop off as an option to save you a dime or two. 

Questions you may have about the specific dimensions(27X17x12) and durability of our heavy-duty bins or how many you might actually need for a three-bedroom house, we have gathered the answers right here. Many of our customers are curious about the mechanics of our delivery and collection service, including how far in advance they need to book(up to 2 days!), what happens if they need to extend their rental period, or how we handle the sanitization of our equipment between uses. You might also be thinking about the environmental impact of skipping the tape and cardboard, or perhaps you are curious about the security features of our boxes, such as their stackability and how they can be easily sealed to protect your most valuable belongings.

Pricing and Payments

Find out quickly! Go to our Book package to find out what type of move, how many boxes, and how many weeks. Don’t’ forget to add one of our dollies and any packaging supplies. You will find your total as you move along the page. The options guide your choices based on your family’s needs, from 15 to 200 boxes.

We Deliver Free of Charge to any of these locations we service. Unsure check out our Delivery Zones.

We accept all major credit and debit cards backed by Visa, Discover, Mastercard, and American Express. We do not accept cash or checks as we prefer all orders to be booked online. There are no additional fees charged when paying with a card.

Yes, we ask you to authorize a fully refundable damage deposit when you are ready to book your delivery. This will be done within seven (7) days of the beginning of your rental period. Security deposit for delivery is $150. Please see the Damage Deposit section of our Later Gator Box Rental Agreement.

Locations we service

Currently delivery includes Geismar, Gonzales, Pairieville, St. Gabriel, and Sorrento.

Any locations out of the service area please call or email for prices.

Self pick up and drop off are scheduled at time of booking.  2 locations are available to choose from either Geismar or Prairieville. Once booked pick up address will be shared. Business hours are the same for either option. 

Delivery and pick up or self pick up and self drop off

YES, you or your designee must be able to accept delivery. To preserve our boxes, they should never be placed or left outside. Additionally, we want to be sure you get your exact order and make sure everything is perfect for your move.

Click here for our business hours. Days and hours of delivery may depend on driver availability. You will schedule delivery and pick up in advance based on your needs. Equipment will be counted by our team during the pick-up process.

Self-pick up and self-drop off just requires you to schedule your time to ensure Later Gator is available to check the return inventory for accurate number of boxes being returned. Equipment will be counted by our team during drop off.

No, we are a door-to-door delivery service. That means we drop off your items at the nearest accessible point outside your home or apartment—typically your driveway, garage, or the door to your unit. We don’t carry items inside your home or apartment.

If you need your delivery to be brought up the stairs, there is an additional charge. The check-out process questions cover this topic. However, you could choose to have us deliver to you on the first floor for no extra fee.

Booking

Yes, but first we need to check our inventory.  Contact us immediately so we can go in and approve any add on order and delivery. Please note if this is after delivery of initial order there will be extra fees for add ons and delivery fee.  

Contact us as soon as possible so we can check availability for your new dates. We will ensure that the boxes are not reserved for an upcoming order. You will then be charged extra for every week that you keep the boxes beyond what you’ve already paid for.

Yes, you will get an email and text for confirmation once payment is processed, with all the details of your order. This email will include your rental dates, the number of bins reserved, and important information about delivery and pickup. If you don’t receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam/junk folder or contact us to ensure your booking went through successfully.

Part of great customer services is to send you reminders of upcoming delivery/pick up date and times. We will email prior to the scheduled times beginning a few days before and text up to a few hours before. 

You can cancel your order anytime up to 48 hours before the pre-scheduled delivery date minus a 5% administrative fee. Please see our full Cancellation policy outlined in our Rental Agreement.

Later Gator will be entitled to charge the value of the total loss that may exceed the $150 damage deposit per item. Please see the Damage Deposit for more information.

55 lbs and can be stacked up to four (4) boxes high. You don’t want to over stack with them filled and cause any injuries.

Yes, we first vacuum and then wipe the inside and outside with a sanitizing solution. No harsh chemicals. The solution is water, natural detergent, rubbing alcohol, and vinegar.
